I saw here or elsewhere (I cannot remember where just now) the idea of "adopting" one of the voting cardinals for the next few weeks and praying for him particularly between now and the election of our new pope. I thought I'd share what my parish did this weekend in case anyone wanted to bring the idea up with her/his pastor. After all of the Masses, there were baskets sitting at each exit filled with small pieces of paper, printed with the name of one of the cardinal electors. The papers included some information about the country and/or role of the cardinal. The slip I happened to pull out read: "Please pray for George Cardinal Pell, Archbishop of Sydney, Australia". Each family was asked to take one or more of the slips of paper and pray for those cardinals. If you were to approach your pastor early this week, it could probably be organized in time for next weekend's Masses and the start of the conclave next Monday.
