...to this story is that, apparently, the man who hit my husband with the golf ball did so intentionally. He is known for his bad manners on the course and bad attitude in general. He was impatient with the fact that my husband was cutting the green.
After Mike was sent to the hospital, the golf course manager approached the golfer and questioned him about why he hit Mike. The man was unremorseful, even arrogant and did not deny that he aimed at my husband.
Please pray for this man and for our good judgement in what we should do next.
Sadly, a man died on a course near us not to long ago after being hit in the head with a ball. It simply depends where on the head you are hit as to whether you walk away or are badly/fatally injured.

That is SO NUTS! We have a good family friend with a metal plate in his skull from a hit from a golfball.
Can charges be pressed? Can he lose privileges on that course? Seems like something like that is against the law.
I am so sorry. That could have been so bad! Thank God he is all right.
I'll say a prayer for that man and a thanksgiving prayer for your husband.

I had to pick my jaw off the floor when I read this.
Speak of terrorism and homeland security.  No one is safe no matter where they work!!! 
My father got hit in the head with a golf ball about a year or so ago. I had to go meet my mom at the emergency room. He was okay but in his 70's when this happened. He still golfs. 
My youngest ds golfs as well and Opa has trained him on the etiquettes and rules of golf. Seems there are some grumpy old men out there who view golf as a religion. I can understand them getting upset with young kids goofing off on the course, but...a man just doing his job on the course!!! This is ridiculous and appalling. And it certainly is NO excuse for wacking golf balls at people.
I will pray for this man and for whatever decision you and Mike come to.

ooh WOW! I can't believe the gall of that man! I pray for all of you. It just goes to show us that we need to send our men off to battle (their daily work) covered in prayer!
I'll keep on praying for you. So hard to believe that anyone could be that cruel! God Bless your man in shining armor!!

Oh Rebecca! What a sad and scary man! I'll pray for him, but especially for Mike, who thankfully is all right.
I hope the golf course has asked that person to leave at the very least.

I'm so glad your husband is alright, how scary for all of you.
How outrageous!! I hope you'll pursue legal action, that is totally unacceptable. He needs to pay for his crime, because that's what it was. Had it hit in another spot on his head you could have been a widow with babies all because he wanted to play golf. He is a sick, sick man who needs prayer and a mental exam.

The man was playing in the Mayor's tournament that morning. The mayor has decided not to have him back next year or any other year due to his poor sportsmanship. The manager of the course wants to ban him but it is hard to police.
I am just grateful that my husband is fine, given the circumstances. It pains me to think that there are people who would intentionally try to hurt someone. I don't understand that mentality at all. That's why I need to pray for him.

Wow! That is just unreal! What an amazingly selfish, horrible person. I do hope charges are pressed. This man needs to learn a lesson that he cannot just go around assaulting people to get his way. You are so generous to pray for him. God bless you.

Praying for your family as well as the person who did this horrible thing!
I hope you have reported it to the police. Even if you decide not to pursue civil damages, he should be prosecuted criminally so he won't do this to anyone else.
