Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How to Keep a Sketchbook Journal

I was putting an order in at Amazon.com today for the last two books I needed for homeschooling this year (at least I hope it's the last two).

Well, of course, in looking around (never look around at Amazon) , I came across a book that I just LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the look of. It's about nature sketching, but it's beyond that. It talks about the different types of journals you can sketch and journal to keep.

I just love the look of it, so I bought me a present, something I haven't done in awhile. I will let you know how I like it (or not) when it arrives.

Tracy

Oh Theresa, I feel the exact same way! But one of my New Year's reflections for change was to make scrapbooking a priority, and trying to preserve our family heritage. I'd like to include sketching and journaling in as well if possible, or to make it a seperate, but equally important priority.

This is the first time I've actually done something I've deemed as a reflection to change! I've scrapbooked more this year than ever before! Now, I don't do it near enough in my book, but at least it's more than before, and I feel like I'm moving from the inadequate to the inspired more each day!

This year, we've had so many people who aren't aged dying, and it's really made me stop and reflect on priority, simplicity, and how important my legacy is to my family and our heritage.

This book just touched a heartstring, I suppose.
