We use the Dore illustrations all the time...I shrink them down a bit and the kids use them in their Bible notebooks...I ended up gettting the book from Dover for ease in printing...but that was BEFORE I knew I could get them on line...

I was looking at them online and they seem so faded and like they would not print out as very sharp images. Any tips on printing them up nicely? And which download from the list did you click on to get the best quality images?

you're right Theresa, some of them are faded. what i do in those cases is sharpen them in our graphics software, and/or erase gray areas so the kids can color them in. or i just find a new graphic. dover has an old testament clip art book that i just ordered, and then found this:

I started downloading and dh came up and asked, "What are you doing?" "Downloading Dores Visual Bible Pictures!" says I. "We have had it for years!" said dh   "Oh! .....great! " I managed to say.

Well I'd still be in the dark about that if not for this posting!!
