Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

A friend's dog brought us fleas We are doing our best to get rid of them (hahaha!), which often here in the south won't occur until cold weather sets in (Nov )
My children are the worst affected by the flea bites and my 4yrds horribly I am going to make up a teatree oil spray to spray on the kids to both repell and heal the awful sores on the dc. Can some one tell me how to make up this spray? Would you use water, oil, or something else as the base?
I have been vacuuming every other day and using borax in the capets in between vacuuming (yes, we throw out the vacuume bag right after). The dogs have been retreated. We did flea spray (same as a bomb but more directed so we didn't get clothes and toys). We have been hesitant to bomb because of my pregnancy and dc. The next step will be to bomb but we will have to go away for that and we can't really afford to do that
thanks for the help
God Bless,
Alison

Don't know if it will work, but I just heart this advice the other day.

Frontline is your best defense for the animals. Hang in there, we've been through this twice . You will get rid of them. both times I threw away my throw rugs that the dog had come in contact with. Vaccuumed the couches where she'd been in the room. But even the vet said FRONTLINE! Reapply in 2 weeks if its still bad and be sure you apply right to the skin by separating the hair. Keep up on it every 4 weeks.

Maybe you know that. . .

I've heard that crepe myrtle bushes around the house and yard keept fleas away. Not sure if it's a fact but when we lived south of town we had crepe myrtle bushes and never had a problem.
