Could you all say a prayer for us? Our basement is under four inches of water. It has been raining all day.

Oooooh, Rebecca! How awful.
For me, that would be the straw that broke the camel's back.
What is it with all this RAIN!!!
You have my prayers, dear.

Thanks for your prayers!
The waters receded around 10 pm but then we were hit with another deluge around midnight that flooded us to 6 inches. I am hoping the appliances were not damaged. Otherwise, there is just damage to panelling, drywall, etc but all of the belongings were up on high ground. The neighboring town is in a state of emergency including the mayor moving to a shelter. The walmart that I normally shop at has waist high water in its aisles! Our insurance adjuster will be out today.
Not to beg more prayers but I also have mastitis... .
I don't know what I would do these days without all your prayers
Love,

This isn't a minor request...we just had a tiny bit of water damage in our basement (compared to you) and the insurance company shelled out over $3K to get it fixed.
Praying!

Flooding is not minor, ever. Praying for you, Rebecca. And I'm sure the mastitis was partly brought on while you were bailing and mopping up!
Hugs to you!

Rebecca,
We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. If you need anything just holler and we'll come pitch in! Our basement flooded when we arrived here just before the moving trucks-too much snow/rain/etc. Kind of like now but in the winter. I can't imagine the basement cleanup with our stuff in there--yikes!
Hang in there,
Anne

Thanks Jenn! I am trying to play the Glad Game these past couple of days. Just think of the muscles I am building in my upper arms by bailing and mopping! And what a chance to get rid of things in the basement that we don't need!
Thank you for the prayers!
