Just received word that my dh's brother will be having open heart surgery (either this afternoon or tomorrow). He's only about 53 years old. Please keep him in your prayers. He's a wonderful brother (in-law). His name is Gerald. Thank you all.

Thank you all for the prayers!
Just heard from my s-i-l. The surgery will be at 9:30 AM (Central Time). Turns out he has to have triple-bypass surgery.  So please remember him in your evening and morning prayers. I know how powerful your prayers are and I know it will be of some comfort to him and his family. Dh and I will be going to see him tonight.
Also, while I'm requesting prayers  , I heard that a school friend of mine is at the hospital with her 17 yr old dd. Her dd was driving back home this weekend with a friend, lost control of the car, hit a ditch and flipped 4 times. Her seatbelt strap broke/snapped in two and she was thrown from the car. She's been in ICU for 4 days now...lucky to be alive. Her liver was lacerated, both lungs collapsed, her right ear was almost sliced from her head, and she is bruised and cut. Looks like she'll recover but it will be excruciatingly slow and painful. Her name is Natalie.
Her friend's seatbelt held and she was able to go home with only a cut lip and some bruises.
Also, my aunt's mother is dying with cancer and I heard today it is only a matter of time. 
I am trying to get word on Jessica. Before the trip, I heard they were going to take the baby very soon because Jessica and the baby were not doing well at all.
I'll update as soon as I get word.

Oh, Cay.
You certainly have a lot pressing on your heart.
Will beef up the prayers, including all of these needing souls. We just HAVE to do it for each other! It truly makes a difference when we bond together with one heart and storm Heaven...I know God hears every single effort.... and His Mercy can't resist, right?!

Just saw this and prayed a Hail Mary for your bil and his surgery. We will also keep your other requests in prayer - but right now I should be in bed and not on the computer so I'm off.

Thank you for all the prayers. Mark and I just got home from the hospital. Gerald came through surgery fine  and will be put in ICU for a couple of days. Now the loooooong road to recovery...but the worst part is over.

Just got off the phone with s-i-l.
Gerald is "ahead of schedule" the dr. says. They are moving him into his own room and he'll go home Saturday if he continues to improve so well.
