Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have a wonderful telescope. It was a very generous and very expensive gift from my parents. Very powerful-can see rings of saturn clearly. This is obviously a fantastic resource but the problem is that it is huge, heavy, and I have no idea what to do with it! This is one area of science where I have a huge gap (we all have those, right? ). I can spot a few constellations, but that is it for me.
So, I would love it if someone could recommend a good book or resource for actually using this marvelous contraption of ours! Ideally a lab-type book with step-by-step instuctions for activiites with the telescope. Ds would love to start off the year with an astronomy unit!
Any suggestions???
