Okay experts. My dd 4.5 essentially trained herself at 2.5. She saw the character underwear, wanted to wear them, and so we spent a weekend inside the house going potty every fifteen minutes - then 30, etc until she did it.

Now, ds 22 months wants to go in the "pottttee" (and wear the cars underwear) - this seems too young to me. I remember dd going through this "pseudo" phase when she was 18 months or so. Am I wasting my time? Can he possibly be developmentally ready already?

I just can't get over how young he seems to me to do be able to do this.

He's still too young. He likes the underwear but is still afraid of "letting go" into the potty. Everything is away for now until he's old enough to "find" them all again.
