Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Last year, when my aunt moved, she gave us a great king sized bed. It has a box spring and two twin mattresses. The mattresses are really good but I hate the "crack" in the middle. Nicky ends up sleeping in it more times than not but I'd like to fill it in before the baby comes, because I don't think it's safe. Someone said there was something I could buy to put under the sheet that would level the two mattresses and eliminate the valley. Problem is, I have no idea what that something would be called or how to find it (google it?) Can somebody point me in the right direction?

i don't have a king sized bed, but i do have my crib side-carred to my queen mattress (rail down on the crib.) i attached two bungee cords to the mattress to keep them from slipping apart. it has been the perfect solution. i've heard of putting foam pads between but am not sure how this improves the situation as the mattress can still separate.

here's a picture i googled up of bungee cord attachment

You could always just sleep sideways on the bed. In our bedroom we have a double bed up against a single bed. So that no one has to sleep on the crack (it would be poor dh) we sleep sideways so that the crack is at our legs. It also eliminated the worry of dd getting wedged in or any awful thing like that.

Elizabeth, Don't know if you're still searching, but found this one which is way cheaper. I knew I had seen them somewhere at a better price...

Noreen,
Thanks so much! Way cheaper is way better. The other one was out of my league.

When we have shopped at Bed, Bath & Beyond OR Linen's and Things, we ALWAYS have used a 20% off coupon. They are often in Sunday Papers, or it is easy enough to get on the mailing list at the store. Those two stores in our state take each other's coupons AND they both take expired coupons. It wouldn't hurt to ask an associate at your local store if they do the same thing.

I just went to the Bed, Bath & Beyond website and there is a space at the bottom to enter your e-mail to receive store coupons.

Blessings!
