I wanted to start a novena for Anne Bryan who as you know has been suffering from an unexplained, painful medical condition for quite a long time now. She is very patient about it but I know it is difficult for her.
Chari would like to petition God for a healing for Anne. I thought St Jude was a good choice not because it's hopeless, but because it has been such a baffling and longlasting illness even through many prayers and treatments.
This week Anne is entering the fasting center to go on a raw food detox. Going there was a healing time for Chari a long time ago so she is hoping it might have a similar result for Anne (along with the prayers, of course)
Anyway, here's the novena:
"St. Jude, you witnessed the healing power of our Lord Jesus. You saw his compassion for the sick and dying. You yourself touched the sick, shared the sorrows of the mournful, and encouraged the despairing. You received this authority and healing power to work wonders, to cure the incurable, to make people whole. We ask you to intercede with our brother, Jesus, to send his saving grace to heal the sickness and suffering of Anne, to uplift her despondent spirit, and to instill hope in her heart. Amen."
