Do any of you have a favorite family backpacking magazine or yahoo group that you subscribe to? We are thinking of making family backpacking a hobby and I realize there is much to know about it. Some of my initial inquiries have been overwhelming - everything from avoiding dangerous animals and plants to the absolute perfect care of one's feet and boots. Not even to mention the first aid techniques!

I need resources! I'd prefer a regularly monthly magazine to look at here with the hubby/kids but a yahoo group or some books/videos about it would be helpful to. I'm starting my own internet search but I'd like to know your favorites - you all have great advice!
