Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

One of my homeschooling friends from the Five in a Row boards...her sister in law was killed in a terrible car accident a few days ago. I read the article-it was a TERRIBLE crash. She leaves behind a husband and two young daughters. It is just tragic...

Anyway, apparently Beth's sister-in-law was Catholic but no one else in the family is.

Beth posted that she needs help in planning a Catholic funeral and burial-they are at a loss at what to do.

Can someone go over to the Five in a Row boards and offer some help? Maybe e-mail Beth or something? Can you e-mail me something and I'll post it?

I feel so bad that this poor woman might not get the funeral that she would've wanted because there is confusion over what to do exactly.

Thanks so much.
Here is the link to the thread. It is not answered at all yet and it's been up a while.

help needed at five in a row

Then go over to the Family Room and look for a post of that topic by Beth in Co.

Thanks so much! I appreciate it!

Hi Alice,

I edited your post to include the link to five in a row. I also edited out your email address because, if I recall correctly, there have been concerns about posting personal emails within messages. If anyone needs to contact Alice directly, you can use the "pm" button at the bottom of the post.

Love,

Thank you so much!

I knew someone would offer to help.

Beth is always the first person to offer to help anyone. She coordianted the sewing of all those quilts for Missey, the homeschooling mom that died in childbirth in March '06. She also coordinated quilts and meals etc. for another homeschooling mother, Ronette, whose little baby died only a few weeks after birth. Beth is very caring and I'm glad someone could help her in her time of need.

Blessings,
Alice R

Just to update you...
Beth posted that they did indeed have the complete Catholic funeral that her sister in law (Joann) would've wanted.

She also posted that her brother and the girls are really not doing well at all and desperately need prayers.

I got the details. A car ran a light, hit the minivan (carrying Beth's family) and the two cars were pushed into an oil tanker.

Thank you for your help.
