STILL haven't received my copy yet but I am in the process of doing up promotional sheets on the Catholic Mosaic for many women around Brisbane using Hillside's sample page of the Holy Twins as part of it.
Something crossed my mind as I was doing this - I have also had women say to me recently that we ought to get a Catholic children's regular get-together going at someone's house so that Catholic homeschooling children can get to socialize together more often, and mums get to support each other more too. We would probably be thinking of a fortnightly get together or maybe only monthly to start.
I have always dreamed of a children's club of some sort where the reading of books (the same listed in Mosaic) are read aloud to the children and are then discussed - and now this wonderful thing has come along! Do you think Cay, it is feasible to run a club that is obviously not going to be doing this weekly (hence the whole program is not being followed) and maybe read the book for the week with the children and do just one fun activity off the book, like for example in the Holy Twins, the popsical stick ladder activity?
This way the mums are being exposed to it's great benefits and more likely to buy it for their home to do most things listed on a weekly basis(so that the club is not discouraging women to buy, but hopefully will have the opposite effect), because I think the book has this 'communal' element to it if going by the sample page is any indication. A communal set up could possibly enrich the children's participation in a slightly different way? Would love your comments on this.

Dear Anne,
It can, and does, work in groups. I think you have some great ideas.
I have done a literature class for our hs co-op three years now.
The first year I did a storytime hour for the younger children while the older children were taking Latin class.
The second year I did FIAR with a mixture of ages.
I was doing these weekly and it was a lot of work and time consuming.
Since I was doing storytime with a Catholic group, I wanted to implement Catholic literature into our storyhour. The past year Mosaic was written as I did the books at home with my dc and one book per month with our co-op class.
Once a month is plenty. Believe me. 
I think one of the things parents liked about Mosaic was that it was not segregated like Blue Knights and Little Flowers. We've had both these clubs and they are great but parents liked the fact they could send both their boys and girls to Mosaic at the same time vs two separate time frames for two separate groups.
I have told my local friends about this message board and how I wish they'd come aboard. They seem to be very internet shy...or very busy.  I will see again if some of them will come and "talk". They can probably answer some of your questions.

Cay, what was the age range of the children with whom you worked?
I like the idea of doing this as a monthly club activity.

Thank you Cay, monthly is enough - I need to hear that recommendation - so I DONT bite off more than I can chew - burn out follows and I would not want this come across as draining and hard.
I thought that the commitment to 'organize' a meeting could also be split and shared among the mums so that they get to add their own creative juices to it all, so that one doesn't feel burdened or become a bit of a tyrant with it  so that all feel free to comment on things if no one person is in control.

We're thinking of starting a Catholic mom's group on our base (for all 3 of the Catholic moms...but maybe we'll grow!). I thought of using Catholic Mosaic for this group...hopefully by this time next week or so, I'll have my copy.

That was very helpful Martha - there was something on Lapbooking too, a simple LapBook Template which I have just printed up. Actually that now prompts me to think of another question (new thread) in regard to Mosaic and Lapbooking!

They were PreK thru 5th (possibly 6th) grade.
The younger ones gained the most but the older ones loved to assist me.  They make great helpers and get as much by participating as the little ones do from observing.
