We just got the kids "American Farmer" software/video game from John Deer. I kid you not. It is a great game for learning economics. It also shows how little my kids know about farming .

Annika: How come there is so much farm equipment to choose from?
Dad: Look who makes the software.

Dad: Do you have to deal with bankers in that game?
Annika: No. You just have to get loans and make monthly payments or you can lose your farm.

Libby: What's that crazy animal running across the field?
Trip: Umm...It's a tractor, Lib.

Anyway, it's kind of like a cross between a "sims" game and a John Deer commercial.

That's funny! You guys would get a kick out of the movie Cars. The tractors in the movie have cow-like personalities. Very, very entertaining.

And this game sounds like fun - my husband grew up farming and would really get a kick out of it. Then again it may be too close to reality.
