Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Wondering if any of you have any thoughts on Minimus Latin. The books look really interesting and not one bit boring. Have any of you used them?

I was wondering about that, too. I really don't want to buy any more curriculum, but they almost look like books the kids would be interested in picking up for themselves. My main concern is that whenever the pictures are too twaddly, my kids won't touch them. But these looked OK from what I could see of them.

Rebecca,
I am using Minimus with my 7 yr. old. She loves it.
It is a story based program. There are also myths included in each lesson. You can get by with just the student book but the TM has the full translations plus worksheets and activity suggestions. The worksheets and activities are why my dd likes this so much.

The student books is reasonably priced but the TM is horribly expensive. If you are interested in this, I would try to get it used or on Ebay.

hth,
Julia
