Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How are you doing? I know your baby is due this month and I wondered if you are getting close.
You are in my prayers for a wonderful delivery.

Thank you Donna! She's due on 21st June, but I'm hoping for sooner rather than later . I don't remember having so many tightenings and twinges at this stage with the other two ... maybe it is just an age thing, but I'm hoping it means everything is moving in the right direction!

Maybe she will be born on the 16th, my b-day!

Blessings to you,

Apparently this happens with the more you have, well at least for some people. My friend (who has just had number 11) starts painful braxton hicks back in her sixth month!

I saw the doctor last week and the baby is well and truly down and I can feel pressure all the time, backache and painful contractions sometimes, wouldn't it be funny if we both went at the same time.

Have you everything ready?

Hey Erin, it sounds as though we could go at the same time! This one is nicely down too. Race you . Both my other two were a little early (2 days and 8 days), so I'm hoping that is the norm for me, and that this one isn't going to decide to stay put until well after her due date!

Yes, I think we have everything ready. I finally got round to doing my birth plan on Sunday evening when I was getting uncomfortable contractions every ten minutes - nothing like leaving things to the last minute. I saw your note about your garage sale haul . Sounds as though you now have everything you need and more!

Natalia, the 16th is also my god daughter's birthday, and the 14th is already shared by my s-i-l and my husband's cousin. I'm rooting for the 15th as we already have two birthdays on the 15th of other months (mine and eldest dd's) so it so it is kind of a family date. Not that I would complain if she decided to arrive a little earlier

Kathryn,
I noticed the 'she' is this knowledge or just habit thinking in the female gender?

Knowledge ... at least, she looked like a 'she' on the ultrasound scan . Here some hospitals will tell you gender, others won't. Mine does, but always qualifies it by saying they can't guarantee it (I think they have visions of people suing them for the cost of piles of pink baby clothes if a 'girl' turns out to be a boy!).
