Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Here's a whole compendium of posts on Charlotte Mason's approach to language arts, from one of my favorite CM blogs.

Lots of links, but she covers pretty much every language-arts-related question for every age group. I've been reading through these slowly and savoring them -- much of what she describes is what we've done and continue to do at our house, but I've been spurred to work toward improvement in several areas, sometimes by stripping things away and taking a "less-is-more" approach.

Anyway, I really just wanted to share -- this is a great resource.
