Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Our ds9 is being Confirmed in 12 days time, and he has finally chosen his Saint, St Peter. So now I'm madly scrambling looking for a book on his chosen saint (doesn't really matter if the book arrives late I guess) but I'm struggling to find anything on St Peter. Any recommendations, happy to have chapter or picture book as ds is a late reader.

I'll look tomorrow for others, but 3 at the top of my head:

The Fisher Prince by Daughters of St. Paul, older Encounter Book originally printed 1966.

Peter and Paul and the Rock and the Sword by Blanche Jennings Thompson, Vision Book, also out of print.

Adventures of Peter and Paul, Daughters of St. Paul, 1984. This is a slightly lower reading level than the Vision and Encounter books.

Quo Vadis, the novel, is based on legend of St. Peter.

Interesting reading would be about the discovery of the bones of St. Peter. There's one book my mother had, I think it was called "bones of St. Peter" but Thomas Craughwell has a newer book called "St. Peter's Bones".

But I'll check tomorrow...I might find more OOP books for you.

Also, there are at least two Dujairie Press books on St. Peter. One is lower level and reprinted recently by Mary's Books.
