I just finished reading two books by Jennifer Scott: At Home with Madame Chic and Lessons from Madame Chic. I really loved these! They are a gentle encouragement to live more graciously and strive to bring beauty and art into one's life. Although they are not religious in any way, the author communicates a deep sense of gratitude for all of the moments of daily life and gives many helpful insights into how to live more gratefully.

Any one else read either of these? What did you think of them?

Yeehaw! Another person here has discovered Jennifer Scott. Caroline- have you watched any of her You Tube videos?

She is the creator of the Ten Item Wardrobe series, but she also covers many other subjects in her videos. I am having to request her books via ILL, so I have not gotten them yet. I can't wait to dig in when I do!

THANK YOU FOR RECOMMENDING THESE Caroline. I just read these and I so LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

I am so inspired - I asked my kids to call me "Mama Chic" - much to their thinly disguised amusement

I am also going to check out the wardrobe tips - I don't have a lot of clothes but I should really revamp what I have.

Thank you again - I am SO enjoying them. My college dd home for the summer has also read them and likes them - she keep trying to take the books away from me when I am reading!

I just got my ILL copy today! Loving it so far. Jenn, much of what is in the book is also on her youtube videos, so you can watch those to get a taste for her style (most of them are under ten minutes long, so easy to watch in spurts). In the meantime, there is always ILL....

I think she self published the first book? That might be why so many libraries don't have them.

I just started the audio book last night. It is so good! I loved hearing, too, that Madame Chic had 5 children, so apparently you can be a mother of many and still be chic!!
