I would so appreciate some prayers:
1. For my husband who has to travel abroad soon for business. I am so worried about Ebola and terrorism – and he is worried about the trip too. Please pray for safety and for protection from germs and danger. And for peace for both of us.
2. For my college dd who is supposed to attend a conference in Dallas/Fort Worth in November. I am very uneasy about her flying there. Please pray that if possible she will be able to get out of going without letting people down or incurring financial penalties.

Praying for both! I have a trip too in November that I am suppost to be flying to. One of the connnectios is through Dallas. I need to see if I can change that.

Praying with LOTS of empathy, as my DH flew through Dallas today.
Marilyn and Betsy, know that I'm praying for you and your families, and for your peace of mind during these stressful days.
Your stories remind me that it's all personal - in our homeschooling world, we know people who are touched by events that might seem remote to others, because we are all connected in faith and in our desire to give our children the best education possible. It's not just a news story about someone else...it's a news story that affects people we know and care about.
Please pray with me for all the people who may have been exposed to Ebola, that they may patiently wait out the observation period and find help and support from their families, friends and communities so that they can remain at home without fear or penalty. Pray, too, that those people in Africa who have been exposed to or have lost family and friends to Ebola will listen to local officials and follow recommended procedures, even if those procedures go against their cultural norms and traditions. Finally, please pray that the communities affected by Ebola will work together rather than take sides and point fingers, because without a spirit of local effort and cooperation, the international community will have an excuse to look away rather than help.

Praying for all those traveling, all those facing concerns regarding this disease and the uncertainties it brings, and all those who are afflicted. May the God of Grace, Peace and Healing watch over and protect them all, body and soul.

Please pray for my dd who is flying to Dallas for an editor's conference very early tomorrow morning. She sounds like her allergies are really bad. She has never flown on her own before. Please pray that she feels better, does not pick up any ugly germs, and has safe travel.
Also praying for others who might have kids flying to the conference - especially the son of one of my friends on this list.

Thanks, Marilyn and All....the kids got back safely  although they had to navigate a cancelled flight at O'Hare and a train from Chicago instead. Thanks be to God all are safe. These older kids are just as exhausting as the littles, only in a different way.
