With several of the kids now having Kindle Fires my husband and I would like to find some sort of parental controls to put on them. We have a Netgear Genie parental control set up which blocks the really bad stuff, but they can still access inappropriate content from youtube. (we tested it to see :( ) We could block youtube completely, but there are also good things that we use it for. Any recommendations for youtube parental control software? (Youtube itself has something that can be set up to make the viewing "safe" but we were disappointed to find that again, inappropriate content can be easily viewed.)

Check out Net Nanny (paid) and K9 free. I think they both have mobile protection. Also Covenant Eyes - not sure if they have just mobile or you have to have all your computers covered too.

Thanks Marilyn. I looked at Net Nanny and hesitated because of the cost but then decided the greater cost is not having something in place! It seems really inclusive of all devices and hopefully will allow us to limit youtube as well. I have to check into it a bit more before we make a final decision but I think that is what we will go with.
