Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi! We're using Kolbe for the first time this coming school year. I'll have middle schoolers. We've been using Sonlight so far and have enjoyed it a lot. Im considering switching to Catholic Textbook Light to the Nations for World History b/c along with Kolbe's Lit program, i fear that Sonlight's required reading will be too much on them. Can anyone compare the two programs or if you've used Catholic Textbook, could you tell me how you liked it and if there are supplemental chapter books to go along? I think thats what i would miss most from Sonlight. They've read such great books and have truly enjoyed learning about history. Thank you!

The teaching manuals for Light to the Nations have supplementary reading lists as well music suggestions.

I've also used For the Love of Literature by Maureen Wittmann to find supplementary reading for history (among other subjects).
