Hello Ladies!

I enjoyed reading through the thread started by 4 lads mom on the topic of blogging. I just recently started blogging again after a 4-year hiatus. (I was busy having babies!)

Some of your responses indicated that there is a desire for a "renaissance" in blogging, some have a desire to blog again, and some have new homes on the web. There clearly is a desire for community through blogging.

I have indicated elsewhere in this forum that I would like to engage this community a little more. One way of doing that is for me to read your blogs, if you have one.

I would like to include on the sidebar of my blog links to your blogs (a blog roll, if you will). BUT, the catch is this: I would like for this link to be in the form of a blog button (125x125 pixels). You can make a (pretty) one on picmonkey.

If you would like to be included on my sidebar, email me your blog button image and blog url to thebeansprout1(at)gmail(dot)com Please put "blog button" in the subject of the email.

You can take a look at the right-hand side bar of my blog. The button link will be placed under "beauty of community"

Just had a look at your blog, it is so pretty! Clean, attractive and inviting, love it. And I love your little bio at the top about picture books, roping me in to take a further peek Always up to chat books

And what a lovely idea to have a blog roll. In the efforts to streamline their blogs many people have taken blogrolls off their sidebars, I understand the reasoning but... I miss finding blogs through others. Often I find if I enjoy a blog chances are I'll be drawn to the blogs they read too.

Mm haven't got a blog button, simply because I worked out what image would say 'me'. How did you decide on your picture?

Are you referring to the picture in my blog banner? One night, I was playing around on Blogger, contemplating on starting a blog, and just chose the best photo I had on my computer. Now, I've built everything around that photo and am sort of stuck with it. I've had positive responses though.

Yes I was referring to the flower button and the banner header, what to choose..but you've just given me an idea, for a long time I was thinking a photo pic but haven't managed to take one, I was thinking books.. surprised? but looking again at yours maybe I could try something with graphics, for the button that is.. Yours is so clear and clean, both the button and header.

I do know what compliments mean regards blogs, they mean so much to me too, and constructive criticism is very helpful.   

My dh shakes his head, he can't understand how I can work out various blog features and websites and yet can't work out basic things in Word and Excel. I guess I only learn these things as I have to. Which reminds me I really should learn how to upload files onto the MP3 player..see what I mean?
