Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So...how does a homeschooling mother write a resume? I was thinking that at some point in the next few years I might have to do some writing or other part-time work. I tried to start a resume ...............and realized how difficult it is. How to put down on paper - mothering and homekeeping and teaching etc etc etc

I would love to hear views from others..any sample resumes would be so welcome

If you google SAHM resume several interesting tips and ideas show up. Keep in mind additional skills and responsibilities involved with homeschooling: researching, planning and implementing educational goals, coordinating curriculum, extracurricular activities, and family life, instructing multiple age levels, etc. etc. etc. I've noticed that many receptionists and staff at businesses or doctors' offices seem to juggle far less than homeschooling mothers do on any given day. Don't underestimate your skills and worth! May God bless and guide you!

I wonder if I am going through a mid-life type "crisis" - my career was huge for me in my early twenties, but the happiest years (as well as hardest working and most fulfilling years) of my life have been/are my baby/homeschooling years. Now that my baby is 4, and there is sadly no sign of any more babies in my horizons (very hard to face that), I suddenly feel a little at sea. I was the queen of resumes (did a lot of hiring)and help my teens to produce wonderful cv's but I feel total writers block at the idea of doing one for myself. I feel I cannot even begin to put to paper what I have done over the last few years....

Perhaps you might consider a skill-based resume rather than a chronological one?
