Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We just finished reading aloud the Apologia Astronomy book. I have very mixed feelings about it. My oldest is 7, and just loved the book. She learned a lot. BUT I felt that I was editing a lot as I was reading. The book is creationist/young earth perspective, and I felt uncomfortable reading that to my kids.
Are the other elementary Apologia books similar? (flying creatures, botany, etc.)
Also, is there a better resource for teaching astronomy? I'm trying to decide if I should hold onto Apologia for my younger kids, or if I can find something that doesn't push the young earth theory so much but is still read-aloud based.
Thanks!

We used botany and part of flying creatures and they are heavily creationist/young earth perspective.
