My SIL passed along this blog that had a link to a $60 off coupon for a Kindle making it just $9 for a Kindle (or $79 for a Kindle Fire.)
I'm guessing for $9 it's worth it to try. That's with the special offers. Anyone who has one--are those special offers "family friendly" or is it something I'd have to worry about?
Here's the link: Kindle
If you didn't have one, would you get one? If you have one, do you like it?

I don't qualify - probably because we already own a Kindle Keyboard and a Kindle Fire.
I really love my Kindle Fire. We use it every day for school-related things. I have a PDF with spelling words on it for one of my kids, we're in the middle of reading five books on it, we use it when we read from the Bible, and I love playing Scrabble on it.

We all have Kindles, and we do like them, especially for trips.

The special offers are usually some sort of book.. realize that they show up when you turn the kindle off.. so you click it off and it shows up.. and then it's there when you go to turn it on. Most of the time I don't even notice it. And so most of the ads are like the front covers of books and a tag line or something.. I don't think I've ever seen something that is horrible.. lots of books I wouldn't read but the ad doesn't show those details.
We have a kindle touch and a kindle fire and a kindle fire hd.
the only thing I don't like about the kindle touch is there is no option for self lighting so that I can read in the dark. If we got another I'd want either another fire or at a minimum one of the ones with the self light.

I ended up getting the $9 delivered yesterday. Haven't opened it up yet. My SIL got one too. My sister only qualified for $20 off and my friend got one for $40 off.
I'm not sure how they determined who got what offer.
