Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I want to do a poster for our homeschool with the words "All you holy men and women, pray for us" from John Becker's "Litany of the Saints" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1_3tGr2gm4.

We will add each saint to the poster as we study him/her. Can we also include the deceased members of our family? or is that not okay to include them?

Monica~
I think deceased members of your family would be in a different catagory....."holy souls."

When we do this, we do a Litany of the Saints wall. And, then a "Holy Souls" section which includes all deceased members of our family.

Thanks Suzanne, that sounds right. I just wasn't sure.

Didn't realize when I posted the question that we'd be adding another "Holy Soul" to our wall. DH's sister (step) passed away yesterday after 30+ years with M.S. May she rest in peace. I'm certain she's dancing with her mom who passed away 2 years ago.
