Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi everyone :)

We are 2 weeks into school year, and thanking God, it's been so peaceful and joyful.

I did have a question. I'm not a lapbooker, and notebooking is a new concept.

I have her do them, but i am not sure what to expect from a 9yo on something like that. She does a sketch, just pencil, writes about a couple things she learned/found interesting and does requested definitions.

There haven't been any 'labs' as of yet, but she is looking in the microscope and sketches what she sees.

I haven't insisted on coloring anything yet, or been overly picky on how her penmanship is. This is new for her, I wanted her to enjoy it. I do think I need to raise my expectations a little bit, in a couple weeks, and get her producing higher caliber pages.

Any suggestions?

That sounds fantastic to me. I used Noeo with my 11YO and 7YO and I don't have either of them notebook. Getting my oldest to write anything is very difficult. I do have him blog about what he is learning in science, from time to time, though.
