Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Okay, you might think this is totally silly, and if you've never ordered loose tea from Adagio you probably have NO idea what I am talking about, but I thought I'd share this anyway.
For Mother's Day I had ordered some teas for my Mother and my MIL. I also ordered a "sampler set" of tea for myself . The six different tea samples came in little tins that are about 1 1/2 inches wide and deep by 2 1/2 inches tall. I was thinking of all the things I could use these for: baric boxes, smelling boxes, sound boxes, containers to hold crayons (they will hold 18 - I'm picturing the little person taking a tin of crayons with him to color instead of the current coffee can overflowing with broken crayons, paper scraps, etc.) as well as markers, colored pencils, etc. Another use for them is seeds. Since I garden I tend to have lots of seed packets.   Well, if I don't use the whole packet (as much as I hate to admit it) they sometimes get lost, or the seed spills, or something happens and my extra seeds are wasted. I'm thinking they would be great to hold seeds in. I could stick a label on the outside and they would look pretty nice on my planting bench (instead of all those crumpled seed packets.) Like I said, you might think this is ridiculous, but I'm going to ask my mom to save her tins for me!

Becky, thanks for the great ideas! You're right -- the Adagio tins are so cute. I'd never thought to reuse them!

Becky -- I'm very "sympatico" -- I saved all my sampler tins from Upton Teas because they were a perfect, plain two-inch high x 4-inch diameter for lots of little knick-knacky things.....

Don't apologize -- you're recycling!
