Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I apologize if this thread is not in the correct location - was not sure exactly where to post my question.

I plan to use Seton Religion this coming school year for my 2nd grade DD. This will be the first time using Seton. When I placed the order for her 2nd grade religion books, I somehow thought I would receive lesson plans for the course as well - this is apparently not the case at all. So now I have 2nd grade Seton Religion, and really not sure how to plan it out for the year.

Any suggestions on how/when to use the books?

I just let my girls work in them at their own pace. I also have them read the New St. Joseph's Baltimore Catechism and memorize the questions and answers, at least for the lower grades. In addition, I use Seton's Bible reading suggestions and simply read through the suggested books (no workbooks and no retelling). You can also choose some of their saint books.

You have to be enrolled to get Seton's lesson plans. If you order books from their website, that's what you get, just the books.

The Seton religion books are such good companion books to the Baltimore Catechism.

Don't know if you looked at their website but they do have sample lesson plans to look at. Here's what I found for 2nd grade; it gives you a bit of a feel for how the plans are organized.
