Friends, I try not to bug ya’ll too much, but it has been a very rough summer thus far. All but my oldest and including myself have had this awful respiratory stuff that will not relent. We are all coughing, wheezing, everyone’s doing their yellow zone asthma stuff...lots of antibiotics and steroids...you honestly would think it was February and not half way through July for pete’s sake!! I have spent way more time than usual doing lots of doc trips, chest xray trips...med runs...it is crazy. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed at this point, and really needing a break from our typical “winter” routine!! This has been going on since June.
If you could offer up an Ave for our intentions, I would be so thankful. We have a lot of stuff going on in the background that is tough, not catastrophic, just hard, and the continued breathing issues are not helping.

UPDATE 7/24--Well, the reason we have all been sick for so long, with my poor Peter having this evil sounding cough is because it is WHOOPING cough. Good grief. We had one of the worst rounds of pneumonia with three down in a bad way for six weeks in March/April....and now Pertussis in June/July. I am almost to the point of that crazy hysterical laugh because otherwise I might start crying and not stop.   AND....we were all vaccinated....that didn’t seem to help, except for the three who were just vaccinated in the last year. (including Lily, who hasn’t been sick at all this last round with everyone hacking and coughing...she is perfectly fine, thanks be to God!!

I am so sorry you are having this long illness run... that type of thing is so exhausting. Praying now that you will all be healthy again soon and can way goodbye to the pharmacy for a good long while

Definitely praying. It has been a terrible year for allergies/asthma in our area too. Praying you all find relief soon, and that the other tough things are also resolved.

I am sorry to hear it, your family gets hit so hard by that stuff. It's been an unusually hacky, coughy summer around here too. Saying an extra prayer for you!

I'd heard before that the vaccination only really lasts for one year. Sorry you're dealing with this.

Prayers for healing! Seems like everyone immune system is down, so lots of prayers that all germs stay away until your immune system is back to normal! Whooping cough seems to be popping up more each year at least in my area.

Praying for you all. That's terrible. Some of the pertussis vaccines were not transported and/or stored properly before administration, so a lot of people are susceptible.
Hope you feel better soon.
