Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd wants a pair for her birthday.

I've read the reviews on Amazon, and I'm just wondering if anyone has bought a pair recently, and if so... can you recommend a brand?

Have't bought any but my husband made some for the kids. Fairly easy and not very expensive either.

The only thing I would add to that is . . .

And my daughter LOVED them!

My 10-year-old daughter received these stilts from Hearthsong for Christmas. She, her siblings, and her friends really like using them. The stilts are well made and fun.

I saw those and thought they looked good. Did you buy the extenders?

I could also ask dh to make some- though he is pretty short on time right now.

If you decide to buy them I would definately get the extenders. Because once the lower one is easy, you'll be wanting them.

My husband made a couple sets, I think they are different sizes. Of course every kid that comes over first tries them out on the slope of our driveway and that never goes well.    Much better to learn on the flat, but they all like to live dangerously.

My son made some in Boy Scouts...perhaps you could find a Scout to make a set for you?

Yes, we did buy the extenders, but we are saving them for her birthday.

I should have also mentioned that the stilts are height adjustable. I have even used them.

RetailMeNot has this code HSPLA65. It should give you 10% off of Hearthsong purchases over $50 through August 13.
