We are finally to this day. Rose will have her heart surgery tomorrow morning. ENT will do some exploratory work first and then the cardiac surgeons will do their thing. They will fix two holes, actually, but the one is small and will be mended since they will be in anyway. It should last about 4 hours. I will update when she is finished.

We are a little anxious tonight, but the risks are mostly small, one percent type things.

My dearest and one of my oldest friends will be in Fatima tomorrow and we think that is awesome timing.

Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

Update - Wednesday

Thank you for the prayers!! Rose's surgery went very well. No complications and ENT found nothing. They fixed the large hole between her ventricles, a small hole in her atrium, and put two sutures in a leaky valve (we didn't know about that). In our consult with the surgeon, he said he was surprised that she had made it this long because the hole was so big! We know it's because of all the love and prayers she's received!

Recovery has been tough and she's had periods where she cried and cried for hours on end while pain meds were being adjusted, etc. But, her chest tube was just taken out and she's doped up on something and sleeping very peacefully at the moment.

Good is so good.

Thank you for the update! Poor sweet little Rose! Our prayers continue, and joining you in prayers of thanksgiving that it went well, and that she is sleeping peacefully now. Will continue to pray for a good recovery, and that you can all go home soon and enjoy your Sweet Baby! Continuing to pray for the adoption, as well, I know the headache and worry it can be!
