Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm getting up at 5:30...and considering getting up even earlier...just to get everything done that needs to get done before Devin's wedding! Holy Guacamole! I mean, I'm a morning gal, but too much of a good thing might kill me

Less than 5 weeks to the wedding!

What time do you get up?
What do you do first thing in the morning?

John Paul receives his First Confession today. If you could toss a prayer to heaven for him, we would appreciate it! First Holy Communion this Sunday

What's new?
How's your week?

Rooting for you!

Love,

Well I've been getting up about 6:15am... my alarm is set for 7am. Just so busy that I wake up and can't go back to sleep I think.

Prayers...

I've been working on getting up "early" at 7am. Eventually I want to scale it back to 6am but I need to take baby steps. I've been using sleepbot to track my sleep and having good results. I'm starting to wake up before my alarm so I think I can start scooting my wake-up time back.

I laughed at this shout out! I love getting up in the morning! The baby can make or break my routine, but I have the alarm set for 6:00. I've been thinking of getting up at 5:30, but I don't know if I can make it. I would love to, but getting to bed at a decent hour hasn't been at all consistent with the baby.

When I get up, I go right into T-Tapp, drink water, make sure my two oldest are up doing their chores, check my emails, make breakfast, read gospel with older kids, eat breakfast, then school.

When I don't get up, (like last week , when we were all sick) it really messes things up.

DH is in FL. In-laws will be here Sat. So, I'm off to clean and organize!

Prayers for my godson today!

First day of May...and it is snowing!!! We are having an unusually wet and cold April (now into May). Has snowed early every week since beginning of April - crazy!!!! The really crazy part is that it has been vacillating between 70 degrees and freezing in the same week . I am so ready for spring to stay.

I missed last weeks Wednesday shout out - the countdown one. We are also counting down to a wedding (oldest son) but further out - not until August. And shorter countdown to gradation for 2nd son in a couple weeks. We are leaving soon for that.

I do not get up early - late night is my get things done time.

Praying for JP today.

5 weeks! How exciting and nerve wracking!! If it weren't for that need for prep, I'd say you're crazy to get up at 5:30, let alone earlier! I'll be praying for your energy, as well as John Paul's First Confession.

I get up when I wake and can't go back to sleep -- no alarm, ever. I don't sleep well and I need every moment I can get! So I'm up around 6:45, though some days I wake as early as 5:15 or 5:30. Those days I lay in bed and pray. 6:45 days I *try* to remember to say 'Good morning' to God and then move to get coffee and morning routine with kids.

I am decluttering to donate to Catholic Charities garage sale this weekend. Also continuing the weeks-long process of decluttering accumulated paperwork/finance stuff.

Cross-posting with Mary. The temps here have fluctuated too, though not down to freezing! The plants and kids don't know what to think.

I've missed the last couple of months of shout-outs.

I'm not a morning person! My alarm is set for 7 and I struggle half of the time to get up by 7:30. Of course, if I need to be somewhere first thing in the morning I usually can just get up and go with no problems. I struggle with falling asleep, so sleeping later is usually needed and not complete laziness.

Mary, It sound like you live in Missouri! The snow finally stopped mid-April though. It has been hot here this week, but it will be twenty to thirty degrees cooler after today. And more rain! Drought last year and now the rain is plentiful!

I would love to sleep in...but my psycho kitty won't let me do that. As soon as DH leaves for work, the cat is literally jumping on me and meowing in my face.

So, the first thing I do is pet the cat, and then I pray. Then I usually pet the other cat, who's waiting patiently in her sleeping spot for me to notice her.

Our weather has been zany, too. I've held off planting and now I'm wondering if I waited too long. (On the other hand, it won't matter, since I have a black thumb.)

Well Ladies, I would do love to join you all in getting up early, BUT.. I am not an early riser.
I am however improving.
I set my alarm for 7.15, getting up at 7.30.
I used to be a shift worker and since stopping 10 years ago, I used to cringe getting up early.
I am however, just starting on the path to bed early, wake early.
BUT .....Our youngest dd15 wakes at 6 am every morning for prayer relection exercise and chores...all without me asking her too...

I am with Cassie, if I need to I am up earlier..

Leanne

Angie, this is such an exciting time for your family. I hope you are able to enjoy every minute--even in the craziness!

I am an early riser. I wake up at 5:45 and would like to get up even earlier but I don't think my menopausal body will accept that. The early hours are the only ones I can enjoy by myself. It is a precious time for me. I wake up by going on the computer for a bit then I exercise for half an hour. While I have my bath, I do my Bible reading. I love my early mornings.

Life is a bit tense right now. My mom is in the hospital with heart issues and lives 3,000 miles away. I feel a need to go and help her for when she is released but the kids are in a drama festival next week. They don't want to let down the other kids who are in the play. My dh is gearing up for seeding season so I am on my own for everything.

I talked to my mom last night. She did not sound good. It is so hard being this far away when a loved one is sick.

oh yeah I was unclear.. getting up this early isn't normal for me. Which means I'm running on low sleep. Getting up at 7 with the alarm would be just fine.
