Finally, after months and months of waiting since we began this process, the date it set! The court date is May 16th, @ PM Central Time. We would so be grateful for any and all prayers that things go well. That the biological father does not contest the adoption that day, or especially after. According to the law, even if he contests it that day, he will still lose his rights(due to abandonment and failure to provide for dd), it will just make it a more difficult process, and more expensive for us. So, we are praying he will not show, which is definitely possible,as he lives 450 miles away. My concern that will have me a bit anxious, is that even if he doesn't show and the rights are terminated, he has 30 days to appeal the decision. Please uphold us in prayer, as we approach this day, for peace, and God's perfect will to be done. I am grateful that this chapter can finally come to an end, and for the amazing ways God has blessed our lives, and the great treasure of a good, holy and loving husband He has blessed me with. God is Good!
