Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

What packaging do you use for food going into the freezer.

I have been using mostly ziplocks, but I don't like they they really aren't re-usable. I know you can wash them, but I am still leery about it.

For more liquid stuff, such as soups and sauces I have started using mason jars. It works ok, but you do need a little time to thaw it before you can pour it out. There is some risk of the jar cracking, but so far it hasn't happened. And they don't stack. I have some small plastic crates I use to plce them in, they can stack 2 high in my freezer, so less risk of falling out.

I like the 1.2 cup Rubbermaid take along containers, again, a nice size for soup, and other things that are single serving. i use the ziplock snack cups to freeze sliced strawberries, or mixed fruit for either desserts or smoothies. Build in portion control. I use them in the fridge for the same purpose. If i divide the berries into containers, then everyone gets some, not just 1 or 2 people. If I divide the yogurt, its convenient and it gets eaten, otherwise it seems to be 'too much work' to scoop for them selves

I sometimes use the freezer jam containers for smoothie bases. Like ice cubes better, they will blend quicker, but the jam containers are good for mostly made or premade. Take out the night before and put it in the fridge. Then it is softened only a little and blends perfectly.

I am wondering what everyone else uses. Of course, plastic or glass, when it's cold and it drops... it all breaks. So
