Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

DS13 made timelines in Montessori 6th grade. Now that he's being homeschooled, I'm thinking I'd like to re-introduce the timeline.

Is there a Catholic Timeline available to purchase? Prefera bly with stickers or photos, etc.

When you say "Catholic Timeline" what are you meaning? The history of the Catholic Church? World history from a Catholic/Biblical worldview? Something else?

There are a few options - just depends on what you're seeking ;)

Sorry for not being clear. I meant world / American history from a Catholic perspective.

I have bought timelines over the years, but this is what has worked the best. Make a colored thin strip of paper with dates on it going down the hall or wrapping around a family room, school room, etc. We had only 2 walls to use, so I put one line of dates on top of another. Then purchase cheap used art books and/or college history books. These can be bought for as little as $1 online or at used book sales. They will contain quality pictures of tons of historical events. Then buy a pack of saint holy cards and add those to the timeline. Keep adding something every summer, especially if you are studying a certain time period or person. We used double-sided tape, but I won't do that again because we had to move it this year. (Picking that tape off the wall was a MESS). So I used high quality (sticky) masking tape. It is working fairly well. Sometimes I can't get a certain pic to stay, so I shoot a small dot of hot glue on the wall. It is small enough to be able to remove easily, but still sticks the picture there without falling. But mostly the masking tape works well. Also, I try to put religious events and people on the top of the dates and secular events below the dates. This way, kids can see that St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was living during Colonial America and that St. Vincent de Paul was a contemporary of Rembrandts.
Blessings,
Stephanie

How creative! I'll have to stop by the library for their sale.

Emmanuel Books has ones you cut out and they stick. I like these. I have put them on notecards and then tape to the wall. I will be using them in a book next year. There are other post that have suggestions for similar products. Maybe try the search function.

Stephanie, that is brilliant! Could you perhaps post a picture? How long did you make the entire timeline, and how did you space out the dates?

Thanks so much!
