I love the educational aspect of movies based on a true story. Today we watched The Perfect Game, a movie about a Little League baseball team from Mexico. I won't give away the plot, but it was a great story and there were some Catholic elements as well (I'm guessing way less was shown than the real-life story). The real footage interspersed throughout the movie was awesome as were the photos shown during the credits. These were tear-inducing moments for me as true stories really get me.

The opposing team in the Championship game happens to be from my city. That was a cool part of the movie for my family.

Great movie for the whole family. It is rated PG but I don't really know why. You may want to preview for some of your younger viewers.

All my kids (3-12) watched and loved this movie. It really is great my guess is the few drunk/ angry scenes ( not glorified) were the reason for the PG rating.
