My best friend's mom, Dorothy, has lung cancer, is in very frail health and is 90 years old. She has taken a turn for the worse this week and my friend has sadly realized that she can't continue to care for her mom at home, as she has done for the last several years. My friend works at a retirement community, and she is making arrangements to move her mom there.

Please pray for a peaceful death for Dorothy (her cancer can't be treated due to her other health conditions) and for peace of mind for my friend, her husband and my son, who's living with them while he goes to college.

Update 4/23:

Your prayers were answered today, and I thank you.

Dorothy passed away peacefully this evening. We'll all miss her very much, but I am happy to report that she was reasonably alert and lucid earlier today, and then passed away unexpectedly after dinner. Please pray for her soul.

Please also pray for my dearest friend, her daughter. She is an only child and will have to plan the funeral and play hostess to all the relatives without much help.

Finally, please pray that I can find a way to help my dear friend at this sad time. If the funeral is this weekend, it will be very difficult for me to be there, as much as I would like to be there. I'm praying that Our Lord will help to resolve this dilemma.

Thank you so much for all of your prayers for Dorothy. She knew you were praying for her and really appreciated your prayers.
