Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm considering purchasing an upright broom set. Does anyone use one? If so, is it easy for children to use?

I see my kids fumble with holding a dustpan and broom, so I'm wondering if this would be easier?

I had a Swiffer brand little sweeper for a few years that we loved. It came out after every meal for a quick clean up and worked much better than the old-fashioned broom. It died and I didn't replace it. Now I wish I had something like that again. The kids were able to use it when they were small.

Any brand recommendations?

Ugh, I saw this on a Sunday, meaning to repky, and forgot.

I really like this Quickie brand set. It is a good height so that even little ones can use it, using the broom as a real broom while an adult or older child uses the regular broom, though we'll use the little broom for quick messes.

Plus, on our first set years ago, my boys broke the rubber lip off the pan, and I called the company in NJ where they are made, and they sent me a replacement part so I didn't have to replace the whole thing!

Okay, disclaimer what we use is not a set. We use a full sized broom with this wonderul dustpan.

The dustpan swings closed when you are done sweeping so that the trash doesn't go anywhere!

I LOVE this feature as the ones that are open tend to get dropped by little ones in our house.
