We are completely devastated. We just found this out today after having her here with us for over 3 months. We are trying to pray for a little miracle. I feel mostly numb and worried, too, for reasons I can't share. Please pray. I am a terrible pray-er.
Update 3/1
I took Rose to the ER last night because of some breathing issues. She was admitted. Her cardiologist added a medication and she will need to stay for a few days to monitor that. Also, her white blood cell count was very low. They will retest in the morning and if low her blood will be tested for leukemia.
Despite all of this and despite the very good texts Cash sent outlining her great needs, her birth parents still want her back. They do not live here, but will need to travel here for her care. We are in disbelief that they (the dad) is really going through with it. We have serious concerns about how they will go about this and thought this current hospital stay would be a bit of a reality check. It is very hard not to feel angry tonight.
We would like to ask them to come now and begin caring for her, but will finish out this stay and bring her home when they release her to allow our children to say goodbye.
Hearts breaking...

Thank you! Today has brought little peace but your prayers and kind words mean everything. Cash is trying to convey to the dad the great care Rose will need starting with an open heart surgery in the next few months and, really, for a lifetime. We are worried, but there is nothing we can do. They hadn't signed their papers so have a legal right to do what they are doing. We are not unsympathetic to their great suffering. It has been on our hearts and minds since the beginning. But, the biggest question is what is best for Rose and we don't feel that is truly being considered. We are completely wiped out with sadness. I know this does not compare to losing a child through death and I don't want to try to say it does, but our hearts are breaking today.

Oh nooooo!! Praying for everyone's wisdom and care for this precious baby's life. May God grant you strength if you feel a need to "fight" for her esp. given her very special circumstances and care required. I as well can only imagine the suffering as well from the birth parents but it is much easier for them to look from afar at the care-taking you and your family are providing and (maybe) whimsically think they can do/provide the same. I obviously don't know but just wanted to offer those words if they help at all. Will pray.
