Happy Wednesday all . I hope your week has been life-giving!
While Lent isn't the perfect time to start adding humorous videos to Wednesday Shout Outs, I'm going to add them weekly anyway. It just struck me this week how relationship building it is to ALL my teens - male and female, every temperament, etc. to watch these videos and laugh together! Some of the quirkier things infiltrate into our family vocabulary and mannerisms. A great way to connect, especially when times are hard. If you aren't up to these videos now, they'll be here for Easter celebrating .
This week's funny videos was a HUGE hit with my 7 year old too :
Taylor Swift: I knew you were a goat when you walked in <- ETA: Watch it fast, similar ones are being taken down
Varsity baseball started last night and Aiden's team lost. Badly. REALLY BADLY The good news is that Aiden had perfect fielding (5-5) and was by far the best defensive player. He didn't bat (long story). I had fun visiting with friends so LIFE IS GOOD!
This is the 2nd week Dave has been gone. He returns Friday. Gotta pace myself
What's new ladies?
Love,

We aren't a football family and missed all the superbowl commercials, but this is supposed to be longer than the one that aired Spread Good Taste
I thought it was funny, probably in part due to nostalgia, but my 8 year old laughed, too.

I was going to post the same one, Lindsay. We got a good laugh
Getting sad about Pope Benedict's last days. Trying to do baby step ways to get the boys involved.
Still recovering from my illness. I'm feeling more progress this week except the darn side effects of my meds. But what's harder is that now I have eyes to see the chaos but not the stamina or brain power to combat it. I still need blinders.
Dh and I will be going to a marriage conference on Saturday. Friday I am trying to meet Betsy for dinner.

Funny you should mention this.
A routine has recently developed for my 17yo son to share with me (every night after dd goes to bed) all of the YouTube videos that caught his attention during the day. Mostly funny, some music, some just interesting or thought provoking. It's been a neat bonding experience for us.
Here is a recent funny one I thought you ladies might enjoy:What if wild Animals Ate fast Food

Quiet week here. Had our biggest snow storm of year on Sunday so are still in the melting stage from that.
Have been starting to look for mother of the groom dresses - Angie, I was wondering what you ended up with. You mentioned in a shout out in January you might have a dress, but you never followed up. Did you go with complimentary colors to wedding or what looks good on you. Curious...I have no idea what I want. Dd is really the one looking for me at this point.
Speaking of funny videos - have you seen the Kid Snippets or Kid History videos. My two think they are hysterical - I think they are goofy but actually they are growing on me.
Here are some recommendations from my kids:
Math Class
Basketball Class
Dance Class
Fast Food
Camping (Kid History)

Oh, Mary ....you'd look cute in a burlap sack! Which, burlap is very stylish and "in" these days....so watch out!!!! That may be a very viable option!
