I'm wondering if anyone here has used any of the Discover America State by State books in the kindle edition.

I'm looking at a few of these for a long trip and ordering them on the kindle would save us some room in the car, but I'm not willing to sacrifice the art work in the books for space. Does anyone know how these look in the kindle edition? We do have a Kindle Fire HD if that makes a difference.

I haven't used that, but did you try having the first chapter (the sample) sent to your Kindle (at no charge)? That's what I usually do when I am trying to decide whether to order a hard cover or an e-book.
