Please pray for my brother, whose wife has left him. She is not interested in reconciliation and, having told him on Valentine's Day that the marriage was over, plans to file for divorce this week. It's just an incredibly sad, stupid situation, and he is reeling.
He is basically unchurched, and I am praying, among other things, that he will see God in the broken pieces of his life. We also have been semi-estranged for a long time, but I have hope that that will be healed as well, as we support him and try to surround him with family love. So there are blessings to be had here, but he is really suffering at the moment.
Thank you. Prayed for all your intentions at Mass this morning.

Thank you all so much. Can I add a request for prayers for his soon-to-be-ex-wife? I think she's just gone bonkers. I really can't say more than that, but the more I hear about her reasons for divorcing my brother, the more I think she's lost her everloving mind, and that whatever her grand plans are for her new life, it's all bound to come back and bite her at some point, hard.
And I could use some prayers, too, because honestly, the whole thing makes me so angry that the last shreds of my charity are gone with the wind.
On the bright side, my brother seems to be doing pretty well. He's taken a road trip, paddled in a canoe race, moved into the guesthouse at my mother's (for sale but providentially still unsold) house, which she had just moved out of -- so it's actually good that someone is living there for now -- and started investigating old buildings to buy. He's a woodworker and math tutor by trade, and what he'd like to do is have a building in an up-and-coming arts district in our hometown, with a workshop/shop downstairs and an apartment above. So he's depressed but looking ahead and thinking resourcefully.
Thank you again for your prayers. I'm not sure anyone else in my (extended) family would be prepared to appreciate that a bunch of Catholic mothers were praying for them, but let me tell you, *I* appreciate it no end. And I remember your intentions daily in my own prayers.
