Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've seen alot of websites on Fibonacci numbers in nature, but thanks to my clickschooling yahoo group I've found a new one and this one is very well done. It has some excellent pictures of fibonacci numbers in flowers and other plant parts, with some interactive content and ideas for activities to do. Looks like fun.

Somehow I missed this in May.

I Fibonacci numbers!

When I worked in a weaving studio I adored planning the striped warps, I'd usually run a Fibonacci pattern. Looked cool as straight stripes but even cooler as plaid! So much fun!

Thanks, Theresa! Awesome site.

This may have been recommended before??

Wild Fibonacci

Fibonacci code is a new concept to me, so bear with this explanation. I believe this book, which has wonderful illustrations, might be a good introduction to Fibonacci numbers. I believe the animals (or body parts of) used on each page have the Fibonacci code in them, for example, the curve of a ram's horn, but the rhyming verses are a simple counting of total animals on the page. This sounds confusing even to me and I'm staring right at the book!! Each page also has a series of dots and a number example (2+3=5) to go along with the verse.

Anyway...........it is very well done!!
