Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have St. Lucy threads and St. Lucia threads and they are scattered all over the Domestic Church board. With her feast day coming up next week and thinking about planting my St. Lucy Wheat I decided to compile a new thread with the links from the past.

St Lucia -- coloring page & song
St. Lucia Crown: Electric-Style
St. Lucia Day dolls
Better late than never- Gf Lucia recipes
Low-tech St. Lucia
St Lucia book?
St. Lucy
St. Lucy Coloring Sheet
Easy Saint Lucy's Day Bread Recipe?
Our St Lucy celebration
St. Lucy books?
Edible St. Lucy Eyes

What are your St. Lucy plans this year?

We've made it a family tradition to put/turn the lights on the tree for her feast day.

Along similar lines, it's our little tradition to drive around and look at lights around town on St. Lucy's Day.

I happened to find a Santa Lucia and Star Boy figurine in a collectibles shop recently. One of the traditions of this month is to sprout grains of some kind, so I set the figurine on a platter and surrounded it with damp lentils on cotton gauze and hoping they will grow into a miniature garden for Christmas. The lentils have been set out for a few days now and have just begun to sprout.
