I would like to get some ideas on good movies about saints and christian stories. DH and I want to update our "library".
Here is what we have:
Several of the Footprints of God
St. Bernadette of Lourdes (Navis) a FAVE around here
The Song of Bernadette
The War of Vendee
Several CCC movies
Jesus of Nazareth
The Nativity
The Passion
Miracle Maker
Two Pope John Paul movies
Then we have:
MANY Veggie Tales
Courageous
Facing the Giants
Bella
October Baby
On my wish list:
Padre Pio: Miracle Man
St. John Bosco: Mission to Love
St. Rita
Molokai
I know there are so many out there, but what are your favorites?

The Bells of St. Mary's
Come to the Stable - In my opinion, this is a must have movie and it is great for Christmas time. I am so happy that it has finally been released by Twentieth Century Fox on DVD.
Boys Town
Going My Way
Miracle of Marcelino
The Miracle of Our Lady of Fatima
The Reluctant Saint

Christine, I forgot that I have The Bells of St. Mary! We bought it last year and packed it away with our Christmas movies. THank you for the reminder. That is a great list!
Jodie, I have not seen either of those movies. I'll have to check them out.
Lindsay, A Man for All Season's and The Scarlet and the Black are movies I forgot about, as well. I've never seen the others, so I will have to check them out, too.
This is why I asked you wonderful ladies!!! So many great suggestions. Keep them coming.

Do you get the Ignatious Press Catalog? I always scour their catalog for movies....it seems to be one of the best compilations of good movies around.

Any thoughts on Therese
or is there a better movie out there about her?

Therese is a good movie; although, it is a little overacted in places. It is similar to the Navis Pictures' films in some ways. However, I thought that War of the Vendee was a superior film.
