Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This is my favorite saint (and my dad's birthday). We have a short story about her in Saints for Girls which I plan to read. Can anyone suggest another picture book on this saint or any recipes to use? Thanks!

She is a special saint for me as well since it's my middle name and confirmation name.

Not sure as there may be something old and oop, but I am not aware of any picture books available just on her. She is of course listed in many of the compilation books, some of which are picture book format.

Though it's not necessarily complete or always updated the Liturgical Year Planning Threads are a great place to look each month for those specific feast days coming up.
Here is what is listed there:
Quote:
October 15 -- St. Teresa of Avila
Paper Dolls
Matilda's coloring page: St. Teresa
Ruth's blog post: St. Teresa of Avila w/ recipes
Copywork or Craft -- St. Teresa's Bookmark
Let nothing disturb you;
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing.
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
Nothing is wanting to him who possesses God.
God alone suffices.

I also just found this one page story of the "two Teresas" of October from Treasure Chest of Fun & Fact: The Two Teresas - Saints of God

Another member mentioned in a different thread that EWTN has put a series out for children call My Catholic Family. They have a video on St. Teresa of Avila for children.

After searching here, Catholic Cuisine is always my first go-to spot for recipes - a few for St. Teresa then Catholic Culture's liturgical year pages.

Happy feast day! This year marks the 500th anniversary of St. Teresa's birth. Her birthday was March 28.

Figure we should do something extra this year - any ideas?
