Ok Genevieve challenged me to start so I will. Here are pics of our prayer altar and the little shelf I have for religious materials for the younger set. The table has the Sacred Heart and Mary statues with fresh flowers that a priest suggested we keep there. There is a basket of rosaries and a candle. Also off to the right you can see the vestment model that changes with the liturgical season. I found the tablecloth at Family Dollar! It has images of the Last Supper and Crucifixion woven into it. That was a find.
In the cabinet right next to the table are housed a basket of religious books, a childrens bible story bk, the lyric bk for Lingua Angelica, the vestments for the table, and the current CGS material.

Here are Genevieve's pics! Her description:
"These are the developmental bookcases, i.e., items
specifically tailored to each child's sensitive period. The one with the mirror
is for my 18mth old. These are manipulatives he is crazy about, especially the
mirror. I think he plays with his image an hour a day! Likewise, my 3 year old
has paschal candle he made, number rods, his baptismal photos (goes with CGS
presentation), sandpaper letters, constructive triangles, ABC (he plays mystery
bag with these), number counters, broad stair. There is a a music corner, an
art corner, construction corner, the kitchen and of course a sofa and baskets
of books."

Bravo Ladies!!! These are wonderful examples of how you're using Montssori in your homes, I sooo appreciated the visual!! Kim, I love how beautiful, yet simple your altar is and then to have the corresponding cabinet directly next to your altar for catechism is perfect! Do you use the CGS materials or do you make up your own??? I haven't found a good GCS resource yet? Any thoughts?
Genevieve, the mirror idea is priceless, my littlies LOVE to look at themselves and play peek-a-boo with mirrors! In the lower left wooden box, are those the wooden veggie and fruit to practice cutting?? I'd like one of those.

Melissa and Doug is where I got the wooden veggies. They learn how to cut real food really quickly after playing with these!

Oh how wonderful your pictures are...maybe I can send mine in too...when my ideal becomes a bit more real?? 
I am spring cleaning...and I am lost in stacks of school supplies....aka I am hiding from my kids....don't tell them where you saw me...I am getting waaay too much done!!

Meredith I have just fudged the CGS stuff based on the example pics on the catholiclearning yahoo group. Dont have alot made yet either!

Fabulous photos, ladies! 
I wasn't sure where to post this question. I thought that there was a whole forum for CGS but I guess I was wrong!
I want to get going with CGS --- I got the manual from CGS but I'm confused as to what exactly it is. I have tried two times to get into it and get overwhelmed by the beginning pages that describe all the tools that will be necessary to make the materials! 
Just wondering if I can get going on this without getting too technical. I would like to do it "right" but don't have the time, energy or resources just now! And I thought I heard that handmade materials were preferred for the Atrium ... someone said just go to Michael's (we've got one about three blocks way --- a VERY dangerous location!  )
My basic understanding is that you do the parables in 3D and Old Testament in 2D. Is this correct? Is there anything critical in the order the lessons are presented?

The parables are 2D. The real stories, i.e. the nativity, the last supper, etc., are 3D. This is to help the child make the distinction.
